Who we are

What we collect

We only collect what you give us when you contact us or ask to book:

• Booking requests (tour pages and Build a Trip): your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, the tour or trip plan, the date and time, the number of people, your pickup place or hotel, and any notes you add.
• Messages you send us by email or WhatsApp, including through the buttons on this website. These are sent by your own email app or WhatsApp, not stored on this website.

We do not ask for card or bank details on this website.

Why we use it

• To answer your questions, check availability and send you a price.
• To confirm, plan and carry out your tour, including pickup and payment details.
• To contact you if something changes, for example the weather or the road conditions.

We use your information because you asked us for a tour (steps before and during a contract with you). We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising or newsletters.

Who else handles it

We use a few trusted services to run the website and answer you:

• Cloudflare hosts this website and stores booking requests in a secure database. It also processes your IP address to protect the site from attacks.
• Google (Gmail) sends and receives our emails, including booking emails.
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us there.

Some parts of the website load content from other services, which see your IP address when your browser connects to them: Google Fonts (the website's lettering), and on the Build a Trip page OpenStreetMap (the map) and OSRM (route and driving times). Links to Google Maps only open Google Maps when you click them.

Some of these companies may store data outside Albania and the EU. They use standard safeguards for international data transfers.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, so there is no cookie banner. The only cookie is a login cookie for the AlbTour staff admin page, which visitors never receive.

How long we keep it

We keep booking requests and the emails about them for as long as we need them for your tour and our business records, normally up to 2 years after your trip. After that we delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• see the information we have about you,
• correct it,
• delete it,
• stop using it or send you a copy.

Just email [email protected]. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority in Albania (the Information and Data Protection Commissioner) or in your own country.

Children

Children are welcome on our tours, but bookings must be made by a parent or another adult.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
